Why karaoke for a corporate event?
Most team outings are either too competitive (escape room, sports day) or too passive (canal tour, sit-down dinner). Karaoke sits in between: anyone can join in, no athletic or trivia skills required, and it works as an icebreaker without feeling forced.
In a private room you're only with your own team — no strangers, no previous embarrassing performances to compete with. The microphones get passed around, after two songs someone drops their guard, and the rest of the night takes care of itself. Works especially well for international teams: our catalogue has Dutch hits alongside English, Spanish, Korean and Hindi songs.

- Christmas room (4-10 people) — Christmas with a wink, popular for December drinks
- Tante Roosje (8-15 people) — Classic Dutch brown bar, Dutch live-music feel — works well for departmental outings
- Moulin Rouge (10-15 people) — Parisian setting with a dance pole on stage
- K2 Apreski (10-20 people) — Wooden chalet, après-ski energy — great for a larger project team
- Disco (15-25 people) — Lit-up dance floor and mirror balls, 80s/90s — sales/marketing-team size with a dance floor
- 25-50 people — 2 or 3 adjacent rooms. Our layout: K2 Apreski, Disco and Moulin Rouge form one cluster of adjacent rooms; Tante Roosje, Café Nol and the Christmas room form another. Combine with dinner or drinks
Most corporate outings pair Sing Sing with another part of the programme. What works well:
- Early dinner + karaoke (18:00-22:00) — dinner at one of the Rembrandtplein restaurants, then a session in a private room.
- Drinks + karaoke (17:00-21:00) — wrap up a Friday afternoon with a private session. Our rooms are bookable for all ages before 20:00, so interns or younger colleagues can join.
- Full night (20:00-04:00) — 2 back-to-back sessions, break at the bar, optionally stay until closing.
We don't serve full meals (just snacks), but Rembrandtplein is full of restaurants — we're happy to recommend one.
Practical & business info
- Price: €10 p.p. minimum consumption + room fee from €10 p.p. (varies per room and time slot). Budget €25-€45 p.p. effective including drinks.
- Invoice on company name: select "Business" at booking and fill in company name, Chamber of Commerce number, VAT number (optional) and invoice address. You'll automatically receive an invoice with VAT specified.
- Booking: online via singsing.nl for groups up to 25. For larger groups or venue hire: info@singsing.nl.
- Weekday evenings: available — rooms open Mon-Thu and Sun from 20:00 to 04:00. Earlier slots are usually easier to book midweek. Other times (earlier start, daytime event) are available on request — email info@singsing.nl.
- Cancel / reschedule: free up to 72h before, 1× free reschedule up to 24h before.
- Food & drinks: drinks and snacks via the karaoke screen in your room or at the bar. Own catering is not allowed in a private room — for a full or partial venue hire you can ask about the options via info@singsing.nl.
Will karaoke work for our team?
Honestly: even when 30% of your team says "I never sing" — it works. No one is forced. Most teams discover within 20 minutes that the quiet colleague does a great Whitney Houston. And if someone really doesn't want to sing: ordering drinks, reading lyrics along, filming videos — there's plenty to do.
What it's not: a corporate team-building session with a facilitator. No feedback rounds, no icebreaker games. Just an evening together, music on, work-roles off.

From around 50+ people, or if you want a private event with no other guests, you can hire a larger space — depending on your group size that's multiple rooms with their own bar area, a large hall inside Sing Sing, or the full venue (capacity up to ~300 people). For 6-15 people on a weekday, 1-2 weeks ahead is usually fine. For groups of 15+ or weekend slots, plan 3-4 weeks. December (Christmas drinks) and May/June (end-of-year outings) fill up fast — book as early as possible.
No problem. No one is forced. In a private room you can order drinks, follow the lyrics, control the screen, or just dance along. Usually the "I never sing" crowd ends up joining in on a group song at the end (Bohemian Rhapsody, Mr. Brightside, that kind of thing).

Works well as a closer. Our rooms run from 20:00 on weekdays (also bookable before 20:00 for all ages), so after a 9:00-17:00 day programme + dinner you can start karaoke around 20:00-21:00. Tip: end your daytime programme within walking distance — Sing Sing is central.
