Staff party in Amsterdam — karaoke & bar at Sing Sing

A staff party has to work for everyone — junior to executive, Dutch-speaking to international, dance-floor regulars to "I'm heading home at 23:00". A standard bar or restaurant typically does one of those well. Karaoke in private rooms does all three at once: small groups per room (colleagues with similar music taste together), a central bar for the floaters, and anyone who wants to can stay until 04:00 or 05:00.

For Christmas drinks and year-end events with larger groups we can hire out a larger space — depending on group size one or more rooms with (part of) the bar, or the full venue exclusively for your company. For smaller teams (up to 25) a single private room is enough, optionally combined with dinner or drinks beforehand.

• 10-25 people — 1 private themed room (bookable online). For larger groups: Disco (15-25, dance floor) or K2 Apreski (10-20). Mid-size: Tante Roosje or Moulin Rouge.
• 25-50 people — 2 or 3 adjacent themed rooms. Our layout: K2 Apreski, Disco and Moulin Rouge form one cluster of adjacent rooms; Tante Roosje, Café Nol and the Christmas room form another. For multiple rooms, pick one cluster for the best flow. The central bar stays open to the public (shared with other guests). Plan ahead via info@singsing.nl for the best layout.
• 50-300 people — custom hire: multiple rooms with their own bar area, a large hall inside Sing Sing, or the full venue. Our spaces can host up to ~300 people. Drinks package, layout and any extra staff are agreed in advance. See venue hire options or email info@singsing.nl for a custom quote.

Tip: from 50 people upward, a custom hire works best — one drinks package, one invoice, and your group is no longer mixed in with the regular public.

Specific times of the year book up fast — our busiest months for staff parties are December (Christmas drinks, Christmas dinners), May-July (summer parties, project closings) and January (New Year drinks). For these periods:

• December: book before early October for weekend slots. Weekday dates stay available longer.
• Summer: book 6-8 weeks ahead. Thursdays and Fridays after 18:00 fill up fastest.
• January: 3-4 weeks ahead usually does it — less competition than December.

Themes that work for a Christmas party: the Christmas room speaks for itself, but the Disco also works great for end-of-year vibes. Ask which rooms are available when booking.

In every private room you order drinks and snacks via the same karaoke screen you use to queue songs — straightforward à la carte, you pay for what you drink. For staff parties you can also arrange a drinks package in advance: a fixed amount per person, unlimited beer/wine/soft drinks for an agreed time window. Spirits, cocktails and non-standard drinks are charged separately.

Snack platters (Dutch bittergarnituur, vegetarian) are available individually or as a package. In a private room, own catering is not allowed — Rembrandtplein has plenty of restaurants if you want to dine beforehand.

For a full or partial venue hire we put together a total package in advance: drinks, snacks, optionally a welcome drink and closing time. Own catering is open for discussion at that point. Email info@singsing.nl for a sample quote.

Most staff parties start with food/drinks elsewhere and use karaoke as the evening programme. Combinations that work:

• Dinner (18:00-20:00) + karaoke (20:30-23:00) — dinner at a Rembrandtplein restaurant, then 1 private session.
• Office drinks (16:00-19:00) + karaoke (20:00-…) — start with drinks at the office, arrive at Sing Sing around 19:30-20:00 for the evening.
• Full evening with us (from 18:00) — start before 20:00 (all ages), with welcome drink, snacks, 1 or 2 sessions, and stay until closing.

For out-of-town colleagues: hotels are 5-10 minutes walk away (Marriott Amsterdam, Hotel V Nesplein, NH Doelen).
