Why Sing Sing for a staff party?
A staff party has to work for everyone — junior to executive, Dutch-speaking to international, dance-floor regulars to "I'm heading home at 23:00". A standard bar or restaurant typically does one of those well. Karaoke in private rooms does all three at once: small groups per room (colleagues with similar music taste together), a central bar for the floaters, and anyone who wants to can stay until 04:00 or 05:00.
For Christmas drinks and year-end events with larger groups we can hire out a larger space — depending on group size one or more rooms with (part of) the bar, or the full venue exclusively for your company. For smaller teams (up to 25) a single private room is enough, optionally combined with dinner or drinks beforehand.
What fits your group size?
10-25 people
1 private themed room, bookable online — Disco (15-25, dance floor) or K2 Apreski (10-20) at the top of that range, Tante Roosje or Moulin Rouge for mid-size.
25-50 people
2 or 3 adjacent themed rooms: K2 Apreski, Disco and Moulin Rouge form one cluster, Tante Roosje, Café Nol and the Christmas room another — pick one cluster for the best flow, bear in mind the central bar stays open to the public, and plan the layout ahead via our contact form.
50-300 people
Custom hire: multiple rooms with their own bar area, a large hall inside Sing Sing or the full venue (our spaces can host up to ~300 people), with drinks package, layout and any extra staff agreed in advance — see venue hire options or use our contact form for a custom quote.
Tip: from 50 people upward, a custom hire works best — one drinks package, one invoice, and your group is no longer mixed in with the regular public.
Christmas drinks, summer party, year-end event
Specific times of the year book up fast — our busiest months for staff parties are December (Christmas drinks, Christmas dinners), May-July (summer parties, project closings) and January (New Year drinks). For these periods:
- December: book before early October for weekend slots. Weekday dates stay available longer.
- Summer: book 6-8 weeks ahead. Thursdays and Fridays after 18:00 fill up fastest.
- January: 3-4 weeks ahead usually does it — less competition than December.
Themes that work for a Christmas party: the Christmas room speaks for itself, but the Disco also works great for end-of-year vibes. Ask which rooms are available when booking.
Which room for which group?
For bigger staff parties you spread the group over several rooms. This is what fits in each one.
Café Nol
4–10 people. Amsterdam Jordaan sing-along bar, nice for a small team.

4–10 people. Christmas all year round — popular for the December drinks.

Drinks, snacks and packages
In every private room you order drinks and snacks via the same karaoke screen you use to queue songs — straightforward à la carte, you pay for what you drink. For staff parties you can also arrange a drinks package in advance: a fixed amount per person, unlimited beer/wine/soft drinks for an agreed time window. Spirits, cocktails and non-standard drinks are charged separately.
Snack platters (Dutch bittergarnituur, vegetarian) are available individually or as a package. In a private room, own catering is not allowed — Rembrandtplein has plenty of restaurants if you want to dine beforehand.
For a full or partial venue hire we put together a total package in advance: drinks, snacks, optionally a welcome drink and closing time. Own catering is open for discussion at that point. Use our contact form for a sample quote.
Practical & business info
- Price: regular bookings — €10 p.p. minimum consumption + room fee from €10 p.p. (varies per room and time slot). Hire of a larger space or the full venue is custom — depends on group size, day and drinks package.
- Invoice on company name: automatic — pick "Business" at booking and fill in Chamber of Commerce, VAT (optional) and invoice address. For a custom hire we handle the invoice upfront in the contract.
- Booking: up to 25 people online via singsing.nl. For 25+ or venue hire: use our contact form.
- Hours: Mon-Thu and Sun 20:00-04:00, Fri-Sat 20:00-05:00. Earlier start possible on request (all ages until 20:00). Other times — daytime event, early drinks, late night — are available on request via our contact form.
- +1 / partners welcome: yes — no restriction. For child-friendly drinks: schedule before 20:00 (18+ from 20:00).
- Cancel / reschedule: regular bookings free up to 72h before. A custom hire has its own terms — agreed in advance.
Combine with dinner or drinks
Most staff parties start with food/drinks elsewhere and use karaoke as the evening programme. Combinations that work:
Dinner first
18:00-20:00 at one of the Rembrandtplein restaurants, then 1 private session from 20:30-23:00.
Start at the office
Drinks at your place from 16:00-19:00, then over here around 19:30-20:00 for the karaoke night.
Full evening with us
From 18:00, so before 20:00 and all ages: welcome drink, snacks, 1 or 2 sessions and staying until closing.
For out-of-town colleagues: hotels are 5-10 minutes walk away (Marriott Amsterdam, Hotel V Nesplein, NH Doelen).

We don't do full dinners — only snack platters (Dutch bittergarnituur, vegetarian). Rembrandtplein has plenty of restaurants for dinner beforehand. For a custom hire we can arrange custom snack packages.
In larger groups people have different music tastes. The advantage of Sing Sing: multiple adjacent rooms. One room naturally becomes the "Dutch hits" room, another "English pop", another "Latin/Spanish". People rotate between rooms via the bar. For 50+ this works better than one big room with one playlist.
